CITY OF OCEAN CITY, NJ
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
2024-2028 FIVE-YEAR PLAN AND 2024 PROGRAM YEAR ANNUAL PLAN
The City of Ocean City proposes to initiate planning for the 2024-2028 Community Development Block Grant(CDBG) Five-Year Consolidated Plan and the 2024 Annual Action Plan. The CDBG Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).Ocean City’s CDBG allocation for Program Year 2024 is $280,667.
A 2nd Public Hearing is being held to receive community input toward the development of the documents: 2024-2028 Consolidated Plan, 2024 Annual Action Plan, and an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice. The hearing will address housing, community and economic development needs, development of proposed activities and review of program performance. Draft versions of these documents will be available for public review at the Clerk’s Office, City Hall Building and on the City’s website: www.ocnj.us/CDBG from June 1 through June 30, 2024.
The 2nd Public Hearing will take place on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 3 p.m. in Council Chambers, City Hall, 861 Asbury Ave. In addition to verbal comments at the Public Hearing, interested persons are invited to submit written comments at or prior to the hearing. Written comments should be addressed to Christine D. Gundersen, Manager of Capital Planning, City Hall Building, 861 Asbury Ave., Ocean City, NJ 08226 or via e-mail to cgundersen@ocnj.us. Ocean City intends to submit the 2024-2028 Consolidated Plan and 2024 Annual Action Plan on or about July 15, 2024.
