We hope you find plenty to do this summer in Ocean City America’s Greatest Family Resort!
Many of the programs are popular and fill up quickly, so participants are encouraged to take a look at what’s available in advance and be ready to sign up on Saturday, May 3rd. Registration opens 9:00AM. Online registration will be through the new RecDesk system (ocnj.recdesk.com), and anybody can create an account there to manage program and event registrations, as well as Aquatic and Fitness Center memberships. In-person registration will be available at the Ocean City Community Center (1735 Simpson Avenue).

MORNING SPORTS & RECREATION ACTIVITIES
An introductory program in which your child will play a variety of sports and games. Each week focuses on the main sport listed along with other fun playground games. Campers are encouraged to bring a daily drink and snack (peanut-free). Open to kids ages 7 to 12. They will run Monday through Friday 9:00am - 12:00pm weather permitting. Camps will be held at 18th & Haven avenue or otherwise noted. Camps are $100 per week, weeks denoted with a "+" may be subject to higher prices due to a scheduled field trip. SANDY STICKS GIRLS FIELD HOCKEY CAMP
Sandy Sticks Field Hockey Camp offers an outstanding curriculum, designed to improve the skills of young players. Campers develop their skills in a supportive and inspirational atmosphere while being challenged daily to do their best. Campers are grouped by age and years of experience and coached by some of the best area coaches, collegiate players, current field hockey league officials, and top high school athletes. A low camper to coach ratio is one of the many positives at Sandy Sticks.

Campers will have the opportunity to learn about each aspect of Track & Field including: running, sprinting, jumping, and throwing. Each day includes training sessions and games for each event. Camp concludes with an official track meet, with prizes awarded to event winners!

The Ocean City Nor’easters are proud to be hosting summer camps in Ocean City NJ. The Nor’easters have prepared the curriculum and are ready to host the best soccer camps the shore area has seen. The Nor’easters are putting on a Mini Kickers program for players aged 4-7 to introduce them to soccer with fun games and a Half Day camp for players aged 7-14. The camps in the past have been seen as a fun way to get into soccer as well as a great way to get a lot of touches in a fun atmosphere for the more experienced players.

SURF CHAIR PROGRAM
Beach Accessible Wheelchairs
46th St & West Ave. Welcome Center
Hours: 9am- 5pm
Beach accessible program for mobility/limited individuals of all ages. Now “Surf Chairs” can provide an opportunity for everyone to enjoy the surf and sand. Must use from 46th St.pick up facility or have large vehicle to transport.
AVAILABILITY: Year Round (October - May need advanced notice to accommodate pick up/ drop off times)

SHUTTLE CHAIRS
Beach Accessible Wheelchairs (Surf Chairs) are located at the following life guard stations: 1st Street, 12th Street, 34th Street, 59th Street - All these locations have public restrooms)
These chairs are used for shuttling a person to your spot on the beach, transfer them to a regular chair, and returning the surf chair back the lifeguard station so another person can use. Once you are ready to leave the beach, you can bring the surf chair back from the lifeguard station to shuttle your person up and off the beach.
Shuttle chairs can only be used on that lifeguard station's beach i.e. you cannot use the chair to push a person 3 blocks down. Shuttle chairs must be returned quickly so others may use. There is no reservation needed for a shuttle chair. It is on a first come, first serve basis. You will need to have someone who can push the chair with the person in it. Lifeguards cannot push people to their spots.

HANDICAPPED BEACH ACCESS & RESTROOMS
Handicapped beach access is provided at Stenton Place, 1st, Pennlyn, 3rd, Park Place, 4th, Brighton Place, 5th, 6th, Music Pier, 11th -18th, 20th, 26th, 35th - 46th, 50th - 59th Streets.
Direct access at 23rd, 29th, 30th, 34th, 48th, 57th Streets and Morningside.
Accessible bathrooms are located on the Boardwalk at 1st, 6th, Moorlyn Terrace, and 12th Streets.

REGISTRATION POLICY
All registration for activities are handled on a first come, first serve basis for residents and seasonal vacationers. Program announcements will be distributed through schools and at www.ocnj.us.
Any program requiring a deadline for registration will be noted on the program information flyer. A waiting list will be maintained for some programs. If an opening becomes available in a closed program that space will be offered to the first person on the waiting list.
The Ocean City Community Services Department and the Division of Recreation Programs reserves the right to cancel or make changes to any program due to lack of registration, inclement weather or reasons beyond our control. Programs, dates and times are subject to change due to the availability of facilities.
Program cancellation due to inclement weather will be posted online at www.ocnj.us or call (609) 525-9304.
The Division of Recreation insists that a child should never be left at an activity or program before the person in charge arrives to accept responsibility for that participant. It is the obligation of the parent or guardian to be aware of program schedule and times.
Acceptable methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash or
checks payable to: “City of Ocean City.”

Refund Policy – No refunds will be given after a program begins. Refunds will be approved only if the activity is canceled, or for medical reasons if the refund request is made in writing (3) days before the activity begins. A COPY OF YOUR RECEIPT SHOULD ACCOMPANY YOUR REQUEST
The City of Ocean City has set the following guidelines for registration fees for our Recreation and Aquatic & Fitness Center programs:
The dollar amount will be prorated dependent on how much of the program/season has passed. Credit card payments will be returned to the card within 5-7 business days. Cash and check payments will be returned by check, which may take 2-3 weeks for processing.
The City of Ocean City reserves the right to waive this refund policy at its discretion at any time.
