Due to N.J. Department of Environmental Protection permitting issues, the start of the West Avenue emergency sewer repair work will be delayed by at least a week.
West Avenue at 14th Street had been scheduled to be closed from Tuesday morning (Oct. 17) to Wednesday morning (Oct. 18) to allow a New Jersey American Water contractor to dig test pits. The intersection of Ninth Street and West Avenue had been scheduled to be closed for at least two weeks starting on Thursday, Oct. 19.
We will provide updates as soon as New Jersey American Water is able to confirm a new construction schedule.
