Bestselling artist Jackie Evancho will sing the national anthem at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 23, during Ocean City’s daily flag-raising ceremony outside the Ocean City Music Pier (Boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace).

Evancho will be in town to perform with the Ocean City Pops in a special concert 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at the Ocean City Music Pier. Since she first dazzled television audiences at the age of 10 as a runner-up on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” Evancho has released a string of platinum and gold albums with sales of over 3 million. She was a hit in a 2018 show with the Ocean City Pops on Night in Venice Weekend and she participated in the boat parade that year. She will join the Night in Venice parade again on Saturday evening.

The Boardwalk flag-raising ceremony starts at 9 a.m. every day through Sept. 11. The event includes the playing of Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the U.S.A" and the national anthem.
