The Ocean City Fire Department will help Santa Claus greet children throughout Ocean City on Friday, Nov. 27. Santa will ride atop a fire engine leaving from the station at Sixth Street and Asbury Avenue at about 3 p.m. and finishing along downtown Asbury Avenue at about 5 p.m.
Anybody can see his planned route through town by clicking here. Families can track his progress in real time by downloading the official Ocean City Vacation app (look for the blue OCNJ icon). Anybody with the app will receive notifications with a link to a map that will follow Santa’s trip through town.
Santa’s arrival in downtown Ocean City will cap off the Miracle on Asbury Avenue celebration that includes shopping specials 2 to 5 p.m. and free horse-and-carriage rides noon to 3 p.m. Members of the same household are invited to board for the carriage rides on the grounds of the Ocean City Tabernacle at Sixth and Asbury. Please mask up to ensure the health and safety of all.
The tree at City Hall will be illuminated at 5 p.m., and the public is invited to enjoy the lights any time throughout the holiday season. But the illumination is not part of a public event, and people are not encouraged to gather there. |
