Dear Friends,

I want to let you know that the ACME supermarket at 800 West Avenue is tentatively scheduled to reopen at 7 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020) after a fire damaged the garage area over the weekend.

Temporary repairs have been completed and inspected by the city, and ACME has submitted a structural engineering inspection report indicating the building is safe to reoccupy.

I’m glad to see this important community resource back in business, and glad to know that residents who depend on it will have their needs met.
