Voting will close on Tuesday (Nov. 3, 2020) for the general election races for the U.S. Presidency, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Cape May County Sheriff, Cape May County Clerk, and Ocean City Board of Education. The ballot also includes three statewide public questions. New Jersey has declared this election to be “primarily by mail,” therefore the County Clerk’s Office has mailed a Vote-by-Mail ballot to all active voters. Among the options for voters to return their ballots, one of those options is that a voter may return his/her voted ballot in person to the polling place. This is a new option for this election. Poll workers will provide a provisional ballot to voters who show up at the polls without their Vote-by-Mail ballot. Two polling locations will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3 in Ocean City.
