The National Weather Service has extended its Coastal Flood Advisory through 4 p.m. Monday (Sept. 21, 2020).
Steady northeast winds gusting up to 35 mph to cause minor flooding today.
Water levels are expected to peak in the hours around high tide on the bay side of Ocean City at 12:03 p.m. Monday. The water level is predicted to reach 6 feet on the mean low water scale. By comparison, Friday evening's tide level peaked at 5.54 feet and Saturday morning's at 5.82 feet and Sunday morning's at 5.46 feet. Residents should monitor conditions and be prepared to move vehicles from areas that typically experience tidal flooding. The roads closer to the beach including Central and Wesley avenues are typically at higher elevation. For your safety and the protection of your vehicle and neighboring properties, never attempt to drive through flood waters, and do not drive around barricades.
