City of Ocean City, NJ - Office of Emergency Management Special Weather Statement: 12 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2020
The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch in effect for Ocean City from Monday morning through Monday evening (April 13, 2020).
Forecasters predict sustained south winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 60 to 65 mph possible. Thunderstorms also are possible on Monday and could result in even stronger gusts.
Loose objects on your property should be brought inside or secured, and because the High Wind Watch begins early Monday, residents should consider making preparations on Sunday. All contractors are asked to secure job sites. Driving conditions could be hazardous, and power outages are possible.
