Jan. 30, 2019 Dear Friends, The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory and Wind Chill Advisory in effect for Ocean City today and tomorrow. The Wind Advisory predicts southwest winds gusting as high as 50 mph through 10 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 30). The Wind Chill Advisory is for 7 p.m. tonight through 10 a.m. Thursday. It forecasts wind chill values as low as 12 degrees below zero. Thursday’s high temperature in Ocean City is not expected to rise above the teens. Extreme cold is expected to continue into Friday and Friday night. There’s a great risk of frozen pipes, and thermostat settings in unoccupied homes should be above 65 degrees.
