Aquatic & Fitness Center Pool Closed for Renovation

UPDATE (Aug. 9, 2024): Our Aquatic & Fitness Center pool renovation contractor started this week and is working extended hours each day. They already have completed waterblasting the pool surfaces in preparation for re-plastering. We will provide updates every Friday as we work to get the pool back open as soon as possible.

Beginning on Sunday, August 4, the Aquatic & Fitness Center pool and natatorium will be closed for a much-needed renovation project. The project will include replacement of the main drains, repair and re-plastering of the pool, addition of tiled lane lines, improvements and repairs to the gutter system, and a complete renovation of the pool deck. We anticipate the project to take 6 to 8 weeks and conclude sometime in late September. However, as many of you know, there are a variety of factors at play with any construction project, so the exact date of completion will become clearer as the project progresses. We will update the membership accordingly.

All members will have the option to freeze their account for the duration of the project. If any member intends to utilize the gym, group exercise classes, sauna, racquetball court, or any other aspect of the facility during the pool closure, their membership must remain active. We are not offering partial or pro-rated memberships for any reason. Any new memberships initiated during the closure will be charged full price. To place a freeze on your account or inquire further about membership implications, please contact the front desk or call 609-398-6900.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding while the project is ongoing. If you have any questions regarding the project, please contact Community Services Director Dan Kelchner at dkelchner@ocnj.us.
