Letter carriers in Ocean City, in partnership with the local branch of the U.S. Postal Service, will be collecting food for families in need on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Carriers ask that residents collect and bag non-perishable food items, then place them by their mailboxes for pickup on Saturday, May 11. All food will be donated to the Ocean City Ecumenical Council's Community Food Cupboard. Please do not include items that have expired or are in glass containers.

Some recommended items include:

• Canned pastas (such as Chef Boyardee)

• Fruit cups

• Cans of soup

• Peanut butter

• Jelly

• Cereal

• Shampoo

• Toothpaste and toothbrushes

• Deodorant

• Body soap
