Municipal Code & Licensing is responsible for licensing all rental properties, contractors and merchants. This insures proper oversight and accountability for licensees. Through code enforcement we are able to ensure compliance with all ordinances. Safety and accountability are our primary motivating force.

Property Maintenance is an important division within the city. The enforcement officer plays a critical role in ensuring the proper maintenance of residential and commercial properties throughout the city. The work of this division helps preserve both quality of life and stable property values.

• Lead-Based Paint in Rental Dwellings: Residential dwelling units within single-family, two-family, and multiple dwellings, constructed prior to 1978 and rented for a duration of 6 months or more, are now required to be periodically inspected for lead-based paint hazards.
