Two Bicycle Auctions Scheduled for Summer 2010

Ocean City, New Jersey – The City of Ocean City will host the first of two Summer Bicycle Auctions this Monday, June 28th at 10 a.m. In case of rain, the auction will be held on Tuesday June 29th and information will be posted on www.ocnj.us and Ocean City’s Government Access Channel 2.

The auction will be held at 46th Street and West Avenue, at the north end of the 46th Street Municipal Building, and will last approximately two hours. Registration begins at 9a.m. and requires a driver’s License, passport, or valid I.D.

There will be approximately 75 bicycles and other surplus items to be sold. Most items scheduled for sale are obtained by the Police Department as either abandoned or unclaimed property. All items will be sold “As Is/Where Is,” meaning all items are sold as they appear, with no warranties or claims implied by the City to their overall condition.  Some items appear newer, while used items may require repair and moderation.  No returns will be accepted.

Accepted forms of payment include cash, traveler’s checks, or bank checks with proper I.D.

The second Bicycle Auction will be held on Monday, August 23rd at 10am with a rain date of Tuesday, August 24th.
