EXOTIC CREATURES ROAM THE BOARDS
THEME OF MISS N.J. PARADE, JUNE 16TH
 
 
OCEAN CITY, N.J. ----“Exotic Creatures Roam the Boards” is the theme of this year’s Miss New Jersey Parade set for Wed., June 16 at 7 p.m. Route is from 6th to 14th Sts. on the Boardwalk.
 
Twenty seven contestants from throughout the State will appear in colorful, imaginative costumes and “show their shoes” as they are driven along the Boardwalk.
 
Ashleigh Udalovas, Miss All State, will portray Rafkin from The Lion King. Lindsey Petrosh, Miss Atlantic County, will wing it as a Flamingo. Maggie May Sabota, Miss Atlantic Shores, will depict the Swan Princess while Christine Giardina, Miss Avalon, will dress as a unicorn.
 
Madison Houck, Miss Bergen County, will be a cobra, Brandi Sanguinetti, Miss Cape May County, Big Bird from Sesame Street, Kayla Ghanavanti, Miss Cape Shores, a Cheetah and Vanessa Baez, Miss Central Coast, the loveable Daisy Duck.
 
Brianna Durand, Miss Coastal Shore, will be Minnie Mouse, Katie Berry, Miss Columbus Day, a Black Widowed Spider, Holly Hunsberger, Miss Cumberland County, the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland and Brenna Welsh, Miss Eastern Shore, a Frog.
 
Jeannie Revier, Miss Gateway has opted to be a Humming Bird, Kaitlin Davis, Miss Gloucester County, The Jersey Devil, Chelsea Lee Ray, Miss Heartland, a Zebra, Katharyn Nicolle, Miss Liberty, Hippogriff from Harry Potter, Courtney Charatsaris, Miss Mercer County, a Butterfly and Carissa Palumbo, Miss Middlesex County, Pegasus.
 
Hilary Levin, Miss Monmouth County, will morph into a parrot, Michelle Goldberg, Miss Northern Lakes, Sea Coral, Nychole Hunt, Miss Queen City, a White Siberian Tiger, Ciara Oro, Miss Salem County, a Gorilla, Kate Bozzelli, Miss Seashore Line, a peacock, Krystsen Moore, Miss South Jersey, Toucan, Roopali Pendse, Miss Stars and Stripes, a Fish, Melissa Ruiz, Miss Tri County, a Giraffe and Nicole Washington, Miss Union County, Phoenix from Harry Potter.
 
Miss New Jersey, Ashley Shaffer, will lead the Parade on a float. Miss Ocean City will be in a Beach Patrol lifeboat posing as a mermaid. Miss New Jersey Outstanding Teen, Little Miss Ocean City, and New Jersey Stars will all be on floats. Junior Miss Ocean City will be in the Wonderland Float display.
 
The Cumberland Regional High School Band, the Dennis Township Middle School Chorus, Girl Scout and Brownie Troops, radio stations and other organizations will be represented, according to Maribeth Neal, Parade Director.
